Christal Malone

Doula, Childbirth Educator

I was born in Winnipeg Manitoba and grew up as an only child in a military family. Since we moved residences often I had to develop the skills to make friends quickly and in doing so I learned the importance of an extended family. My experiences helped me to understand the phrase, “it takes a village to raise a family.” I firmly believe that we all need to be encouraged and cared for as we take on new roles and jobs in our lives.

I have lived overseas and seen much of the world in my 30 years but my interest in the birthing field, like that of so many other women, developed while I was pregnant. My pregnancy was a thrilling journey that fueled my pursuit to become a doula and childbirth educator. I am now a devoted mother to a beautiful daughter and a loving wife to my husband of seven years. I feel I will never stop expanding and exploring the wonderful world of Birth Work and I am thankful every day that I can practice something I am truly passionate about.

Since becoming a doula I have had the privilege of attending many wonderful workshops and training seminars and I am happy to say I will never stop learning how to be a strong support person. I am currently finishing my first year of college in the Fanshawe Doula Studies program and have been a full-time practicing doula in my community for over four years. If you are in need of a LGBTQ friendly practitioner or are looking for a full spectrum doula I would be happy to help. I offer non-bias care and practice inclusiveness in all my work including my childbirth education. Because I believe in all reproductive journeys I will gladly go wherever I am needed and support all my clients with love, compassion, and non-judgmental care.

I currently live in London Ontario Canada, and happily services the London, Stratford, and St. Thomas area.
